If you enjoy nature, mountains, forests, lakes and rivers, you will love the Catskill Mountains (known as the Catskills), located northwest of New York City and southwest of Albany, upstate New York.
Catskill Mountains, a natural area in New York State, are an eastward continuation, and the highest representation of the Allegheny Plateau. They are sometimes considered an extension of the Appalachian Mountains into Upstate New York, although they are not geologically related. The Catskills are west of the Hudson River and lie within the bounds of six counties (Otsego County, Delaware County, Sullivan County, Schoharie County, Greene County, and Ulster County).
Our cottage is located in the Town of Prattsville, NY, Greene County, about 2 ½ - 3 hours from New York City. Prattsville is a small, historic town (about 650 residents) in the northwest part of the county, located on the Catskill Mountaintop where Greene, Delaware and Schoharie Counties meet above the Schoharie Valley.
Cabin is located on a small dead-end side street. There are houses and neighbors near the cottage as you would see in any other town (View Picture). We are NOT "in the woods". We are in walking distance from Main Street.

This vacation rental offers reasonable prices with the comfort of having your own little cottage and an outside space to grill or hang out on the porch for your getaway vacation trip. You will find our cottage has everything you need to enjoy your Catskill Getaway! Our guests also enjoy the front yard area, with two porches, table, chairs, garden swing and outdoor grill!
Our cottage is fully furnished. It fits up to 6 guests and it's ideal for 2 couples. This vacation rental is cozy and clean, providing you with a peaceful and homey feeling.
Couples can enjoy privacy of the two bedrooms provided when renting for 4, which are at the opposite sides of the house and separated by a hallway.
Inside the cabin: two bedrooms, kitchen with dining area, small living room and a bathroom.
Bedroom 1 has a queen and single/twin bed (sleeps up to 3 people).
Optional 2nd bedroom is available upon request, if less than 4 guests are booking the cabin. This bedroom is included when booking for 4 - 6 people. Second bedroom also has a queen size bed and a twin/single bed (sleeps up to 3).
Living room has a TV with basic Cable TV Programming. Wireless High Speed Internet connection is available.
Kitchen plus dining area includes a stove, refrigerator, basic accessories, coffee maker, microwave, etc.
Please note: Kitchen doesn't have a toaster and while the stove top works, the oven does not.
Outside the cottage guests are welcome to use the grill and relax by the table. Cottage has two large porches available for guests to use.
This lovely Catskills vacation cottage is conveniently located near Windham Mountain and Hunter Mountain - 10 miles from Windham, NY and 15 from Hunter, NY.
Enjoy the beauty of Catskill Mountains surroundings! Ski during winter season and have fun at the local festivals during spring, summer and fall.
Take a walk from the Cottage to the nearby Schoharie Creek or Pratt Rock Park for a picnic with beautiful views. On your way you will find the Prattsville Museum (Zadock Pratt Museum), Great American grocery store, diner and a Tavern/bar. Schoharie Creek also offers a public beach area so you can dip in and enjoy the water!
2 miles from us you will find Red Falls. We are about 5 miles from Gilboa Reservoir.
